The voice of Barclays
This is the area which launches new flagship stores, takes innovative products to the market and organises internal conferences and functions, among many other things. Our specialist teams are charged with managing our reputation across Media Relations, Internal Communications, Events, Public Policy, and Consumer and Community Affairs.
It’s an immensely varied area. For example, if you were part of C&CA, you might be involved in one of our high profile CSR programmes such as training people aged 16 to 25 how to manage money better. In the Public Policy Team you could take the latest government developments and communicate how they may influence what we do.
As advocates for Barclays, the team believes in engaging stakeholders, influencing their opinions, championing their interests and addressing their concerns. If you’ve got good skills in written and spoken communication, organisation and stakeholder management, you’ll fit right in.
Event Management
Our Co-ordinators, Executives and Managers need significant events experience, since they organise events for very high profile stakeholders. Whether the event is a high profile internal one, or perhaps a flagship branch launch involving a local celebrity, it’s a fast-moving place to be.
Communications Business Partners
This role would see you dealing with internal and external communications, public policy, media relations and internal comms for senior stakeholders. A public sector or charity background would be ideal.
We also recruit into Public Relations, Consumer Agenda and CSR.
